boxbot was formed in August 2008 by director Phil Hawkins, producer Oly Dempster and director of photography Mike Costelloe to create high-quality music videos shot exclusively on the new RED HD camera system. With music video budgets on the decline, we continue to prove that you can still create amazing videos for smaller budgets. One, because we’re dead clever and two, because people need to think outside of London and shoot up north. Yep, we’ve said it, we’re northerners and proud of it. Our videos have racked up thousands upon thousands of hits on the internet, been screened on national television and continue to prove that if labels need exposure for their artists, the music video is still the way to go.
